Physical’s Olympic Safety Squat Bar is a game-changer for serious lifters and demanding gym environments.

As with all Olympic bars, the sleeve ends enable Olympic plates to be loaded onto the bar: 50mm diameter, 385mm length, compatible with both spring collars or lockjaw/ clamp collars.

However, the secret of this bar lies in its innovative central section, where two robust safety prong handles – each measuring 320mm long and 50mm in diameter – provide unparalleled support.

Rather than having to loop your arms over the bar, these prong handles allow you to position your hands upfront during exercises – a far more comfortable position that minimises pressure on the wrists, elbows and shoulders.

This design also requires users to properly engage core muscles to maintain correct torso alignment. It’s therefore great for addressing weak point in squats, as well as providing enhanced support for other upper back, lower back and leg work exercises.

Comfort is further enhanced thanks to the neck and shoulder pad. Crafted from extra-firm, heavy-duty foam and encased in a durable black PVC leather cover, this pad allows you to rest the bar across the top of your shoulders with minimal discomfort, even under heavy loads.
