Physical Olympic Open Hex/Trap Bar

Physical’s Olympic Open Trap Bar – also known as an Olympic Open Hex Bar – is built for heavy lifting and powerlifting programmes, designed to maximise your trapezius and back development.

A hex bar with an open design in the front, this Open Trap Bar is the perfect piece of equipment to add resistance to exercises such as lunges. Simply lift the weighted bar off the floor, maintaining straight arms down the sides of your body. The bar goes round the back of your body with the opening to the front, enabling unhindered movement of the legs.

The open hex bar design also facilitates exercises such as shrugs – lifting and lowering the shoulders to work the trapezius – while the neutral hand placement also helps relieve back strain during exercises such as deadlifts.

Two sets of rotating hard chrome handles on each side offer a choice of grip widths (30mm diameter and 50mm diameter), with all handles featuring a knurled design for optimal grip security.

The bar weighs 30kg, with the option to add further load via Olympic plates; the hard chrome, 50mm diameter Olympic sleeve ends are compatible with spring collars or lockjaw/ clamp collars and support a maximum load capacity of 500kg.

And all of this is packaged into a compact design: a total bar length of 213cm allows for efficient storage and easy manoeuvring within a gym environment.
